THE UNC candidate grew up in Grande Riviere but currently lives in Sangre Grande. She is active within the constituency as a Grande Riviere Village Council youth officer and the Toco Youths United group’s president. She believes the UNC’s ideology of inclusion, representation, and development all falls in line with her own personal beliefs.
KEY ISSUES
Greene plans on developing digital and physical infrastructure to improve transportation routes, communication networks, community amenities, and entrepreneurial opportunities. Eco-Tourism, Farming, and Forestry industries would be created and developed using the constituency’s abundance of environmental resources along with the implementation of robust environmental protection policies. Expansion of the area’s economic capacity would be targeted with the development of a regional commercial hub to encourage the creation of sustainable commercial and industrial infrastructure.
Job creation would be encouraged through vocational programmes, online training platforms, feasibility studies and the financing of micro-industries. Several projects and buildings that have been neglected over the years would also be focused on including the Toco Fishing Centre, the Toco Secondary School, the Sans Souci Community Centre, and the Ministry of Works building.
